well, guess rioters 'big suprise' is worth a new thread

it seems more like a new game mode than a new map, this is how it looks


there will be 2 lanes and 5 capture points, + some buffs in the middle. the games are going to be rly fast, ~20 to max. 30 mins., available as 5v5 an 3v3. if u want more information, feel free to read this, cuz tbh im a lil too lazy to pick out all the info.

additionally, there will be some heimer buffs inc, as well as a new ping

Nah, that's not my kind of game. I am cool with new things and I will give it a try but it seems as they go back to their roots and gettin more Dota impulses into LoL. The trailer doesn't convince me.

the dota ive played back then (dont know if things changed there), was exactly like lol, nearly no differences. so this would be a step away from dota.

nevertheless it didnt convinced me so far neither... but still worth giving a try.

It´s the same genre, but it's one of the moba's who has strived furthest away from DotA imo. So I don´t agree with you Chris.

There is no deny in LoL, there are runes, summoner level, teleport with B, no shops in forest.

Sure, its alike. But check the other moba´s (hon, rott, alaplayashit, etc) who are pure copies of DotA. Then I would say that LoL is pretty far away - and ofcourse 2x better and more fun.

But DotA 2 will be super interesting..

i played just the first versions of dota like 3 times, wasnt a big fand and prefered the normal wc3/tft.
you are right that there are differences, but still: the things which are new like the capture point havent been there in dota ( or am i still wrong).
so my statement that they dont go back to their dota roots and instead further away was right.

has anyone played it yesterday? what were ur opinions?

i played 3 games and im not quite sure what to think. it was not that much fighting as i expected, since most of the people were running away of every fight, trying to get a tower. so everyone was just more or less running around in a not really coordinated way, even tho we were 4 people in skype.

it was somehow fun, but i expect it to be way more fun, when there will be some known tactics for that game.
but im not expecting it to reach the lvl of a normal 5on5 lol game at any time.
it might stay a little mini game, u wanna play every now and then.

havent played it yet, but maybe the more ppl play the more fun itll get who knows who knows ~
